Lake Cascade is one of Southwestern Idaho's most popular boating and fishing spots. Recreational development adjacent to the lake makes Cascade an ideal playground for the whole family. Shoreline access is excellent and numerous docks and ramps are available. Known for it's consistent fisheries and convenient location, it is one of the most popular and heavily used fisheries in the state. Fish species found at Cascade include rainbow trout, coho salmon, kokanee, smallmouth bass, bullhead & channel catfish and perch. Good boat ramps are located near the town of Cascade and on the west side of the reservoir near Donnelly. There are many restaurants and motels that are available in both Cascade and Donnelly.

Transition Area, Body Marking and Timing Chips:

All athletes will have their body marked by race volunteers prior to entering the Transition Area. Please be sure to give the volunteers the correct age and race bib number when getting marked.

The transition area, located lakeside, will be accessible to only athletes with a bib/bike # and/or body marking. No outside assistance may enter the transition area. The transition area will CLOSE 15 minutes prior to the start of the 1st Swim Wave. No one will be allowed in transition after that time. You will be given ample time and a countdown to closing via the race announcer and P/A System.

**This race will be chip timed. After the race you will be able to access your timing splits for, Overall time, swim, T1, Bike, T2, and run. Your timing chip will be issued ON RACE MORNING after body marking, as you enter the transition area. All athletes are responsible for the return of their timing chip after they cross the finish line.

** Each athlete is responsible for crossing each timing mat. Just being in the “general area” of the mat does not always work and could cause the athlete to have incorrect split times or no time recorded at all. Each athlete must ensure a secure fit of the strap when issued your chip.

Packet Pick-up:

Packet Pick-up will be at the Ashley Inn from 4pm to 8pm on the day before the race. There will be no Race Day Packet pick-up. Only athletes with a photo ID will be allowed to pick up their packet. NO Exceptions!

All athletes will receive a swim cap (required to be worn during the swim), a bike number and a run bib number at packet pick-up. You will be assigned a swim wave time as well as pick up your race t-shirt* and a  goody bag filled with swag from the race sponsors.

Although we anticipate that the majority of questions are answered right here on the website, nothing can take the place of previewing the course and coming to the packet pick-up Race briefings. Any new additions and/or course changes will be discussed and a physical walkthrough of the start, transition and finish line will be offered by the race directors. Check out the Race Schedule for exact times.

* Anyone that signs up inside 21 days from race day may not receive a race t-shirt! There are no exceptions if we run out of shirts. Sign up early and secure your memory!
