Race Date: November 7, 2009
The Desert Beach Triathlon will be located at the same location as the XTERRA West Cup Championship race in May. The Start and Finish are in the same location as the Transition area. That includes the swim. It will be an out and back to the Desert Beach location.There will be (2) races. One race will be an offroad, Sprint distance, ideal for those just getting into the sport, doing their first offroad tri or maybe your just not quite ready to commit to the longer course. with just 1 lap one each swim, bike and run course, this is the perfect place to start. The second race will be the Big Dirt Tri, on the same bike and run race course as the West Cup. The only difference will be two laps on the swim course!
November 7th, end of the season, go out with a real challenge and don't forget....the weather doesn't matter in the dirt! This is fun!
RACE DISTANCES:
Sprint Swim: .4 miles (2x = Big Dirt Tri)
Sprint Bike: 9 miles (2x = Big Dirt Tri)
Sprint Run: 3.2 miles (2x = Big Dirt Tri)
SHIP YOUR BIKE
If you need to ship your bike, or find that its cheaper to ship it than bring it on a plane, call the guys at All Mountain Cyclery and tell them that Sunset Racing sent you. You will get treated like a VIP. They can set you up with assembly, repacking, possibly even delivery to your hotel (this is Vegas, for a couple extra bucks, you can get whatever you want).
